Operations Manager

Exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimise operations at a key site within a fast-paced, growing organisation. This role is ideal for a highly organised and commercially aware professional with a strong background in warehouse operations, procurement and financial oversight. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement across all functions, supporting the ongoing growth and success of the business.

This position requires a confident and hands-on leader who can take full ownership of site operations while maintaining a strategic overview of supply chain performance. The Operations Manager will act as a key link between operational teams and senior leadership, delivering clear, accurate and insightful reporting, while confidently presenting performance updates and strategic recommendations at executive level. A proactive mindset, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders are essential to drive performance and achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations at the site, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals
• Lead and optimise warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes
• Manage procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and strong supplier relationships
• Take ownership of financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Produce accurate and timely operational and financial reports for senior leadership
• Present performance updates, insights, and recommendations to the senior leadership team with confidence
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
• Lead, mentor and develop on-site teams to drive engagement and high performance
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with wider business objectives

Requirements:

• Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar role within supply chain, logistics, or a related environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procurement processes
• Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Experience managing site operations with full operational ownership
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Commercially aware with a continuous improvement mindset
• Willingness to travel as required
