Counterbalance Forklift Driver

 

Counterbalance forklift driver needed for a prominent warehouse and logistics operation based in Ballymount. This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a professional operation that values reliability, teamwork and completing work to a high standard. To be considered, candidates must hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence, an up-to-date Manual Handling Certificate and at minimum a Provisional driving licence. The role involves working every second Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, with hours paid at time and a half. 

 

This is a varied and active role, combining counterbalance forklift driving, yard movements and general warehouse support. Working across goods-in, storage and dispatch, you will handle a range of materials and play an important role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.

 

You will be responsible for the safe and accurate operation of a counterbalance forklift, including loading and unloading vehicles, moving and positioning stock and supporting both warehouse and yard activities as required. A strong focus on safety, care in handling materials and attention to detail will be essential.

 

You will also assist in maintaining a clean, organised and safety-compliant working environment, supporting stock organisation and dispatch preparation while adhering to all health and safety procedures. As part of a dependable team, you will take pride in carrying out your duties correctly and contributing to the overall success of the operation.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

• Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift 
• Load and unload delivery vehicles within both warehouse and yard areas 
• Accurately move, position and store materials and stock 
• Support goods‑in operations, internal stock movements and dispatch activities 
• Handle a variety of products with care and attention to detail 
• Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as required 
• Maintain a clean, organised and safety‑compliant work environment 
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures and site regulations

 

Requirements

 

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential) 
• Manual Handling Certificate (current and in date) 
• Minimum of a Provisional driving licence (required for insurance purposes) 
• Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics or yard environment 
• Confident operating a counterbalance forklift in a fast‑moving or busy setting 
• Comfortable with hands-on, physical work 
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices 
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team 
• Available to work alternate Saturdays as required
