Voice Picker / PPT Operator

 

Experienced Voice Pickers required for fast-paced FMCG warehouse operation based in Citywest. This opportunity suits individuals who are comfortable working in a high-volume environment where precision, efficiency and teamwork are key to success. A valid manual handling certificate and experience operating a PPT is essential.  

 

The role operates Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with regular overtime available paid at time and a half. It is well suited to reliable candidates who take pride in hands-on warehouse work and performing to daily targets within a structured team setting.

 

You will carry out voice-directed order picking, ensuring items are selected accurately and prepared correctly for dispatch. Working to set productivity and quality benchmarks, you will play an important role in maintaining the smooth flow of goods throughout the warehouse. The role involves daily use of a PPT, with a strong focus on safe handling practices.

 

You will be part of a busy, target-driven warehouse environment where consistency, accuracy and dependability are essential. A strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to contribute positively within a team are key attributes for this position.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Accurately picking customer orders using a voice-directed system 
  • Safe and correct operation of a powered pallet truck (PPT) 
  • Preparing orders for dispatch 
  • Ensuring correct product selection and quantities 
  • Supporting the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse 
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures 
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area 
  • Working effectively as part of the warehouse team

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience in an FMCG warehouse environment 
  • Experience using voice-directed picking systems 
  • Powered pallet truck (PPT) experience preferred 
  • Ability to work to performance targets 
  • Good attention to detail 
  • Manual Handling certificate (essential) 
  • Physically fit to carry out warehouse duties 
  • Reliable and punctual approach to work 
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
