Van Driver

Distribution business is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver to join its Dublin-based delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for a stable role with regular daytime hours, competitive pay and the opportunity to earn additional income through overtime.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out multi-drop deliveries throughout Dublin and surrounding areas, ensuring goods are delivered safely, accurately and on time. Routes are planned efficiently, with delivery volumes typically averaging around 10 drops per day, although some days may involve as few as 5 deliveries. The role offers a good work-life balance, with most working days finishing before 5pm. On occasions where additional hours are required, overtime is paid at time and a half.

This position would suit someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is comfortable working independently. A strong understanding of Dublin road networks and a professional approach to vehicle operation are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Complete multi-drop deliveries across Dublin and surrounding areas
• Safely load, transport and unload products
• Carry out approximately 10 deliveries per day, depending on route requirements
• Ensure all delivery paperwork and electronic records are completed accurately
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues
• Follow all road traffic regulations and company health and safety procedures
• Maintain excellent customer service standards during deliveries
• Plan routes effectively to maximise efficiency and meet delivery schedules
• Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transportation
• Communicate with transport and operations teams regarding delivery updates

Requirements:

• Full clean Category B driving licence
• Previous experience in a van driving or multi-drop delivery role
• Good knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery schedules
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading goods when required
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Strong awareness of road safety and compliance requirements
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
