Role: Weekend Shunter Driver (C+E Licence)
Salary: €25.00 p/h (Saturday & Sunday)

Opportunity has become available for an experienced Shunter Driver to join a busy transport and logistics operation based in North Dublin. This role is ideal for a professional C+E driver looking for consistent weekend work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of containers and trailers across the site, positioning trailers onto loading bays and transporting trailers between nearby company locations. Drivers will also be required to operate on public roads, making it essential that all licences and driver qualifications are current and valid. A strong commitment to safety, excellent vehicle handling skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely shunt containers and trailers to and from loading bays.
- Move loaded and empty trailers around the yard efficiently.
- Transport trailers between company sites using public roads.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure trailers are positioned accurately for loading and unloading operations.
- Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to maintain smooth site operations.
- Follow all road traffic legislation and company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate driving records where required.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are operated safely at all times.
- Deliver a professional and reliable service throughout every shift.
Requirements
- Full C+E Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Previous experience as a shunter or articulated truck driver is highly desirable.
- Comfortable driving articulated vehicles on public roads.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent reversing and manoeuvring skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
