Counterbalance Forklift & Warehouse Operative

 

Prominent business within the construction materials sector is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift & Warehouse Operative to join its lively operation in Dublin 12. Supporting trade and commercial customers across the region, the business is known for its dependable service, extensive product range and commitment to customer satisfaction. You'll work alongside a hardworking team to ensure stock is received, organised and prepared efficiently, helping to keep the operation running smoothly.

 

You will play an important role in the day-to-day running of both the warehouse and yard. Using a Counterbalance Forklift, you will assist with loading and unloading vehicles, preparing customer orders and ensuring stock is stored safely and accurately. Your ability to work as part of a team will help ensure customers receive a reliable and efficient service every time.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Attend to customer orders and ensure they are fulfilled in line with company procedures.
  • Receive and check incoming deliveries, reporting any discrepancies where required.
  • Pick, pack and prepare orders for collection and delivery.
  • Load and unload company vehicles safely and accurately.
  • Maintain a tidy, organised and safe yard and warehouse environment.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to management.
  • Carry out routine forklift checks and ensure equipment is maintained correctly.
  • Support general warehouse and yard duties as required.
  • Remain vigilant to protect company stock and property at all times.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Valid Forklift Licence is essential.
  • Full Category B Driving Licence is essential.
  • Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
  • Experience working within a warehouse, yard or construction materials environment is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach with a willingness to learn.
  • Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious attitude.
