Salary: €45000 - €50,000 per annum

Duration: Permanent

Join a well-established logistics company that continues to grow. You will play a key role in coordinating deliveries, maximising fleet efficiency and ensuring customers receive exceptional service every day.

 

As a Route planner you will take ownership of daily route planning and fleet optimisation while closely working with drivers, transport management, customers and warehouse teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimise daily delivery routes to maximise efficiency and service levels.
  • Monitor vehicle utilisation and fleet performance.
  • Coordinate driver schedules and delivery assignments.
  • Respond to and resolve route disruptions, delays, and operational issues.
  • Ensure all routes comply with transport legislation and company procedures.
  • Liaise with customers, drivers, and internal departments regarding delivery schedules.
  • Analyse route data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
  • Maintain accurate transport and operational records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transport operation

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Route Planner, Transport Planner, or Logistics Coordinator.
  • Strong understanding of transport operations and route optimisation.
  • Experience managing multiple routes and schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Proficiency in route planning software, transport management systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
