Artic Driver
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced ADR Artic Driver to join one of Ireland's leading fuel distribution companies based in Dublin. If you are ready to make a move, now could be the right time to consider a role that offers a structured schedule, professional working environment and the chance to spend more time on open roads rather than navigating the city's busiest periods.
Working Monday to Friday with a 2:00 PM start, you'll complete approximately 10-hour shifts, operating during the quieter part of the day when traffic eases and roads open. This position is suited to a professional driver holding a valid ADR licence who is confident operating articulated vehicles or rigid and trailer combinations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
This is more than just a driving job. You'll play a key role in delivering an essential service across the region while joining a respected organisation that values professionalism, reliability and safe working practices. If you take pride in your driving, enjoy working independently and prefer leaving the rush-hour congestion to everyone else, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an articulated vehicle and trailer in accordance with road traffic legislation, ADR regulations, and company policies.
- Collect fuel loads from Dublin Port and transport them to designated depots across the region.
- Conduct daily vehicle, trailer, and safety equipment checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of fuel products in line with all hazardous goods procedures.
- Complete deliveries efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
- Follow planned routes and delivery schedules to meet operational requirements.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork, load documentation, and electronic records as required.
- Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report any defects, incidents, or maintenance issues.
- Adhere to driver hours regulations and maintain accurate tachograph records.
- Maintain clear communication with transport planners, depot personnel, and port staff.
- Ensure all ADR, CPC, and transport compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Deliver a professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, depot staff, and colleagues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of both vehicle and trailer.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and always promote a strong safety-first culture.
- Secure fuel loads correctly and carry out all relevant safety checks throughout the delivery process.
Requirements
- Full EU Category C driving licence
- Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Experience driving a right-hand steer vehicle on the left-hand side of the road
- Experience operating artic/rigid with trailer vehicle
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance requirements
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
