Multi-Drop Van Driver

Excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Multi-Drop Van Driver to join a busy distribution operation based in Dublin 24. This role would suit a reliable and professional driver who is comfortable working independently, managing a daily delivery route and providing an efficient service to customers. The successful candidate will complete approximately 15–20 drops per day, delivering stock safely and accurately to designated locations.

This is a drop-stock-only position, with the primary focus on completing scheduled deliveries efficiently and professionally. Drivers will collect the van and stock from the warehouse, complete the assigned multi-drop route and return the van to the Dublin 24 warehouse at the end of each working day. The position offers an hourly rate of €16.41, along with a daily subsistence payment of €17.92. A full, clean driving licence is essential for this position, along with previous driving experience and the ability to manage a busy delivery schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Complete approximately 15–20 multi-drop deliveries per day across the assigned delivery route.
  • Deliver stock safely, accurately and within scheduled delivery timeframes.
  • Collect the company van and allocated stock from the Dublin 24 warehouse before commencing the daily route.
  • Check deliveries before departure to ensure the correct stock is available for each scheduled drop.
  • Follow the assigned delivery route while managing time effectively throughout the working day.
  • Provide a professional, polite and helpful service when completing deliveries.
  • Ensure all stock is handled carefully during transport and at the point of delivery.
  • Complete drop-stock deliveries in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure any required paperwork or proof of delivery is completed correctly.
  • Communicate promptly with the warehouse or transport team regarding delays, delivery issues or changes to the planned route.
  • Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any faults, damage or maintenance concerns.
  • Operate the company van safely and responsibly while complying with all applicable road traffic regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised vehicle throughout the working day.
  • Represent the business professionally when dealing with customers and other contacts during deliveries.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety procedures when driving, handling stock and completing deliveries.

 

Requirements

  • A full, clean EU driving licence is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver or in a similar transport and distribution position is highly desirable.
  • Experience completing multi-drop delivery routes would be an advantage.
  • Comfortable completing approximately 15–20 drops per day.
  • Strong knowledge of safe and responsible driving practices.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively while working to a daily delivery schedule.
  • Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently throughout the day.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers.
  • Good attention to detail when checking stock, delivery information and documentation.
  • Ability to follow assigned routes and delivery instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced transport, logistics and distribution environment.
  • Flexible and positive approach to daily delivery requirements.
  • Ability to take responsibility for the company vehicle while it is in use.
  • Commitment to returning the van to the Dublin 24 warehouse following completion of the daily route.
  • Good awareness of health and safety requirements relating to driving, deliveries and stock handling.
