Warehouse Operative-Day Shift

This position requires an experienced warehouse operative with at least one year of experience, ideally within the electrical industry. You will be responsible for operating the counterbalance to efficiently load and unload electrical materials and equipment, as well as assisting in transporting goods to the warehouse and yard to ensure smooth and timely operations. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining the general upkeep of the warehouse and yard, adhering to the company's stringent health and safety policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing day to day pick & pack warehouse operations, receipting goods in and out and replenishing pick bays.
  • Ensuring safe and clean work practices and company policies/procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensuring all deadlines for client orders are met, orders are reviewed and checked for accuracy before dispatch. 
  • Stock is efficiently handled and stored and treated with utmost care.
  • Assist in stock take and cycle counts as directed by the Inventory Controller.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers on site.
  • Load & Unload Products via the Counterbalance.

 

Requirements:

  • Electrical Wholesale experience a distinct advantage.
  • Commitment to zero harm in the workplace and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and SOP’s and perform physical duties as required without restrictions.
  • Capable of working well within a team.
  • Good communication skills, high attention to detail and solid numeracy skills.
  • Experience within a WMS environment or RF Scanner.
  • Counterbalance License Essential.
  • Manual Handling Cert Preferred.
