Warehouse Operator

Long standing company within the logistics sector are seeking a skilled operator who holds both counterbalance and reach truck licenses. This position offers an immediate start with full-time hours, weekly pay, and the potential to transition from a temporary to a permanent role for the right candidate.

You will confidently operate both reach and counterbalance trucks to move materials throughout the facility, while supporting the flow of goods from incoming and outgoing shipments to the warehouse. You will also be expected to take part in general warehouse duties which will include working in the inbound and outbound departments when required. You will also support the inventory control team with tasks such as cycle counts and stock takes to help maintain accurate stock levels.

Responsibilities:

• Operate reach truck to assist with picking activities.
• Assist the goods in department to receive and document incoming goods.
• Perform daily warehouse duties which will include packing orders for dispatch, maintain a safe working environment, and take part in inventory control tasks when required.
• Load & unload goods with the counterbalance forklift.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on forklifts and report any issues to management.

Requirements:

• Valid Reach truck certificate required.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse setting.
• In-date counterbalance forklift essential.
• Manual handling certificate preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with RF scanners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
