With consistent weekday hours (8am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday), this opportunity offers a great balance of stability and challenge for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for managing the flow of stock across a busy warehouse operation. This role is central to the success of the supply chain and requires someone with solid English skills and the confidence to liaise with senior management. The office environment can be noisy at times, so it’s important you are comfortable working amidst the hustle and bustle of a live FMCG operation. With access to a comprehensive pension scheme, health-related staff discounts, and frequent overtime opportunities, this is a rewarding role for a logistics professional who values growth and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate stock levels across the warehouse to support consistent supply chain operations
- Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring system records are always up to date
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts, reporting discrepancies and investigating root causes
- Liaise with warehouse operatives, supervisors, and senior managers to ensure smooth coordination of stock
- Ensure all stock movements are recorded in line with company processes and compliance requirements
- Support the implementation of stock control improvements and new system rollouts
- Contribute to warehouse planning and efficiency strategies
- Respond promptly to stock queries, providing clear and accurate updates to internal stakeholders
- Work collaboratively within a busy team environment, often under pressure
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a stock control role within an FMCG warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of stock management systems and warehouse operations
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Solid spoken and written English skills, with the confidence to communicate with senior management
- Able to work effectively in a fast-moving and sometimes loud office environment
- Competent using Microsoft Office and relevant warehouse management software
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset with the ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
