Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Parts distributor based in Dublin 15 is seeking an experienced and hands-on Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid, in-date counterbalance licence and a manual handling certificate. A VNA licence is desirable, though not essential.

You will be joining an established and supportive team, taking responsibility for loading and unloading trucks and dealing directly with couriers, suppliers and customers. This is a fast-paced environment that requires someone who can remain calm under pressure and work efficiently.

Daily duties include loading and unloading heavy machinery parts using a forklift, managing inbound and outbound bookings, and ensuring a smooth workflow with no bottlenecks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Handling the loading and unloading of machinery and heavy components
• Recording incoming stock accurately in the system
• Managing queries and resolving any delivery or collection issues
• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with regular inventory checks
• Coordinating with couriers, customers and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
• Maintaining a clean, organised warehouse environment
• Assisting with general operative tasks as required to support daily workflow

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience handling the loading/unloading of heavy machinery and components
• Strong capability in managing stock, both digitally and within the yard
• Familiarity with booking in stock, accessories and incoming deliveries
• High level of attention to detail and a willingness to build product knowledge
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve issues effectively
• Confident communication skills for interacting with customers and suppliers
• Valid forklift licence (counterbalance essential; VNA an advantage)
