Rigid Driver (Full C Licence)
Opportunity for a Rigid Driver based in North Dublin, delivering food and beverage products to hotels, bars, restaurants, cafés and other hospitality customers. This is ideal for experienced drivers seeking a stable, rewarding role. Drivers work on a rotating 5-days-out-of-7 roster, with a typical 5:00am start, and may be scheduled on any day of the week, this typically involves working every second weekend with rostered days off during the week.
This role is much more than simply driving from depot to depot. Drivers complete approximately 10 to 15 deliveries per shift and are responsible for unloading products and delivering them directly into customer premises. The position is physically demanding, requiring repeated lifting, carrying, and manual handling throughout the day while maintaining excellent customer service standards in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be comfortable with the physical nature of the work and the rotating roster to ensure the role is a suitable fit.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a rigid vehicle in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures
- Organise and sequence deliveries before leaving the depot each morning
- Complete deliveries across Leinster and surrounding areas
- Follow numbered drop schedules accurately and efficiently
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at delivery locations
- Lift, carry, pull and manoeuvre boxes from the truck into customer premises
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and proof of delivery
Requirements
- Full EU Category C driving licence
- Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Experience driving a right-hand steer vehicle on the left-hand side of the road
- Experience driving in Ireland, the UK or another left side driving country preferred
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance requirements
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
