Hours: 39 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Procurement Administrator
We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Administrator to join a leading construction company based in Cork. This role involves supporting the procurement function in the management of purchasing activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain operation. The successful candidate will help maintain the balance between operational requirements and cost efficiency, contributing significantly to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing procurement strategies that are cost-effective and efficient.
- Process purchasing orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels to meet project demands.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to negotiate terms and track the status of orders.
- Ensure accurate data management using Sage software, including inputting, updating, and maintaining records of supplier information, contracts, and procurement terms.
- Work with the finance department to reconcile invoices and payments with deliveries and orders, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Support the procurement manager in daily administrative tasks, including preparing reports and presenting data analysis on procurement activities.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure that procurement practices align with project timelines and budgets.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of compliance frameworks affecting procurement processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or procurement-related role, ideally within the construction sector.
- Proficient in the use of Sage software and other procurement management tools.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical abilities and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to negotiate and work collaboratively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards of data integrity and operational efficiency.
