You will step into the role of Facilities Technician. In this position, you will contribute to the overall growth of the organisation while helping maintain a customer-focused ethos. Your responsibilities will include managing contracts and maintenance for a major distribution centre, supporting environmental initiatives and prioritising the safety and wellbeing of all employees. You will have experience in a similar logistics or storage environment, along with an understanding of the challenges involved in managing a multi-temperature facility. You will be joining a team that’s passionate about supporting a dynamic and fast-paced industry. You’ll play a role in serving thousands of businesses across the country.

 

Responsibilities

  • Delivering a high-quality maintenance service that supports operations efficiently, effectively and safely.
  • Provide maintenance support, enters data, updates equipment records and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Carry out electro-mechanical repairs on high-speed, PLC controlled equipment, including handling, packaging, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Offer technical support for plant facilities and services, including compressed air and refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Update the maintenance management system recording all changes, store transactions and completed work.
  • Ensure completion of planned tasks and logs daily shift activities into the maintenance management system.

 

Requirement

  • Relevant trade experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive disciplines.
  • Experience and/or qualifications in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Strong awareness and practical experience in Quality, Health and Safety standards.
  • Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance systems and procedures.
  • Skilled in fault finding and problem solving across various technical systems.
  • Flexibility required for shift rotations and occasional travel.
