Role: Reach Driver
Salary: €13.50 per hour, rising to €14.50 after 9 months
Duration: Permanent
Location: North Dublin St. Margarets

Reach Driver

Motivated and skilled Reach Driver wanted to join a dynamic team within a leading distribution centre in North Dublin. In this role you will ensure that goods are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service that customers expect.

This position involves a balanced mix of operating reach trucks and manual handling tasks. You will spend approximately 50% of their time operating reach trucks, with the remainder dedicated to activities such as unloading inbound trucks, breaking down pallets, quality checking goods, and manually replenishing stock locations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a varied workday that combines technical skill with physical activity.

Shift Times: 08:00 to 17:00 or until finish. Please note that shift start times may vary during peak periods.

Responsibilities:

• Reach Truck Operation: Safely operating reach trucks to move goods within the warehouse. This includes following all safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Unloading Trucks: Efficiently offloading goods from inbound trucks, ensuring that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Pallet Management: Breaking down pallets and organising goods for easy access and distribution.
• Quality Checks: Performing quality checks on goods received to ensure they meet the required standards. Reporting any discrepancies or damage immediately to the relevant department.
• Stock Replenishment: Ensuring that stock locations are replenished in a timely manner, which may include manual handling to accurately place goods in their designated areas.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Reach Driver, with a valid reach truck license.
• Up to date manual handling certificate
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing shift patterns and workloads.
• Physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and standing for extended periods.
• A positive attitude towards safety, with a track record of following workplace safety guidelines.
