Air Freight Forwarder

Are you an experienced Air Freight Forwarder interested in joining a leading logistics company based in Santry? In this role you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating air freight shipments, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods. The role involves working closely with clients, airlines, and partners to plan and execute air freight operations. The Air Freight Forwarder will be responsible for negotiating rates, preparing and processing documentation, and ensuring compliance with EU and international trade regulations. You will focus on customer satisfaction, handling any issues that arise during the shipment process, providing solutions that meet both the company and client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate air freight shipments in accordance with client requirements and company standards.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant customs, import, and export laws and regulations.
• Prepare, process, and review required shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to clients and internal teams.
• Resolve any issues or delays that arise, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and partners through excellent service and communication.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and supply chain processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Air Freight Forwarder or in a similar role within the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of air freight processes, customs regulations, and international trade.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in the use of freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are preferred.
